Finished projects

My wee niece and nephew are now enjoying their beautiful baby blankets. Although they were a bit late, better that than never.
Oh, and I couldn't resist throwing in the gorgeous picture of my niece Isabella.

blocks

Can't wait to get these blocks all put together. Actually, I have a confession that I do have the first two rows together. The extra step of photographing the blocks seems to be more than I can handle right now.

Southern Notes

Southern Notes was so fast and easy, kind of a welcome break.

Gloomy Prospects, Feeding the Rebels, Draft Threat

Love Gloomy Prospects, which is green and black.
Nice warm colours in Feeding the Rebels, at least that is what I thought.
Phew!
I know it has been a long time since I have uploaded any new photos of the Civil War Diary Quilt, but I have been a little busy.
A temporary full time job, coupled with my music students may have kept me from blogging, but it didn't keep me from quilting.
I have managed to at least keep up with my club and am now about half done my blocks. I have some sashing pieces cut out, but haven't sewed any rows yet.
New pictures are coming soon- hopefully they will turn out  better than the last set.

Sorrow and Greenfield and Stockton

Well, I haven't had much time lately to do any quilting, thanks to a new job reporting for the local weekly newspaper . That development, coupled with a frustrating error on my latest block, robbers,  has discouraged me from blogging.

I feel better now, so here are the next two blocks: Greenfield and Stockton and Sorrow.

I honestly love Sorrow, I think it is the star- I always love stars and think this one is very striking. Greenfield and Stockton is nice, but I wish I would have used one contrasting colour. Also, my pattern had six strips, not five- weird!
